Brittany + Jonathan // Omaha Wedding

Not many marry their high school sweethearts, but this happens to be true of Brittany and Jonathan.  They met at a party of a mutual friend’s and formed a strong bond.  Over college years, each had their own experiences, and were able to keep up a long-distance relationship. The events of their wedding day were held at their childhood homes in Omaha.

This wedding was incredible.  Aaron Carlson Design really knocked this one out of the park.

Huge thanks Kameron Bayne and Samantha Carter shot with me.

What If | Dominican Republic

It has been six weeks since I was in the Dominican Republic for the What If Conference.  What If  is an idea, a dream we’ll call it, created by photographers, Jen & Steve Bebb.  I told many of my Nebraska friends that it’s similar to Big Omaha, only on a smaller scale (about 65 people).  This conference wasn’t really about photography, but starting ideas and getting them done.  It was amazing to see ideas from other artists, musicians, designers, videocinematographers, and yes, photographers.  On our last day, we travelled to a local school and brought them basic school supplies.  This was one of the top highlights of the trip.  It was only  just a few years ago that the hotel we stayed at (Melia) help build classrooms for these kids.  Upon my return, I hopped right back on a plane with back-to-back shoots in California.  I had been wanting to try a new lab for my film processing, Indie Film Lab, so I waited until I got everything back.  I met many talented new friends and am very much looking forward to What If 2014.

Take a look at some of my favorite images-
